When is the last time you daydreamed about getting something you really want?
We do it all the time, and have since we were kids. It’s a natural extension of the human mind and imagination. But when you do this with a purpose, it’s called manifestation.
Manifestation (or the ‘Law of Attraction’) is a metaphysical art, and can help you bring what you most desire into your physical reality. You’ve probably been successfully manifesting thoughts and dreams for years without even realizing it.
You’ve probably heard the term fake it ’til you make it, right?
It’s prevalent in lots of different places, from business to the entertainment industry, and, get this: it’s the perfect example of manifesting what you want! Manifestation isn’t crunchy or hokey, it’s as simple as putting out what you want to get back in the universe.
Manifesting Positivity
If you’re not interested in physical manifestation, manifesting positivity is a great secondary practice.
I’m sure, as a human, you’ve had a bad day. Shitty pop songs have been written about this shared experience; you know how it feels to stagger around, despising every one and every thing that comes across your path.
While feeling angry is healthy and a great way to vent, you certainly don’t want to turn your bad day into a bad week or month.
Negativity is contagious. The good thing about negativity is that it isn’t a physical object. Even though it is possible to feel the negative waves coming off of somebody in a particularly foul mood, you can’t be physically contained by it.
Here’s where manifestation comes in. You know that miserable person who works in your office who seems perpetually sour, no matter what good things life throws at them? They’re maintaining a negative existence for themselves by putting bad vibes out into the world. Aka manifesting.
Manifesting an Action
The best way to break down the act of manifesting an action is this:
Our thoughts are what create our emotions > our emotions fuel the way we act > our actions are what propel us through life > our life is shaped by the events we experience.
To consciously manifest something, all you have to do is put a thought out into the universe, and visualize it coming true. You can do it before bed, during a meditation session, or on the bus.
It’s stupidly easy, and something that everyone can do if they believe in themselves.
Getting Over It
The hardest part of opening yourself up to the possibility of manifestation is absolutely getting over yourself.
One of the beautiful things about manifestation is that nobody has to know you’re doing it. There’s no reason to be embarrassed for believing in it. I guarantee that every successful person you look up to manifests their wants and desires, even if they don’t necessarily realize it.
So give yourself ten minutes, and paint yourself a real nice picture. Let yourself daydream and think about what you really, truly want. You can also start a manifestation book our journal: whatever works best for you!

I really believe this to an extent. Everyday I put things out there and pray to God for what His will is in my life. He knows what is in my best interest. We do need to keep that positive outlook and be thankful. Thank you so much for sharing
Definitely! We all get back what we put out, whether that’s good or bad 🙂 Thanks for commenting!
This is a beautiful post, and I feel like I was meant to read it. There are things that I want but I don’t always know what the best way to get them is. I feel discouraged and I give up. I don’t want to do that anymore, it isn’t getting me anywhere. I want to talk to the Universe/God about my hopes and dreams and somehow make them into a reality. 🙂
What an awesome comment, Chloe! I’m so happy to hear it resonated with you – I hope you’re able to get exactly what you want in the future 🙂
I love this and those printables are so handy! Thanks for writing this post – saving it for later so I can come back to it when I’m better.
No problem Rebecca, so glad you found them useful – and thanks for commenting!
I really enjoyed reading this, I really do believe this works because I put out love and it always comes back, I think about or daydream about winning something and it has happened..
